2006 Heartland National

The 2006 Heartland National in Akron, Ohio went down with the beautiful weather and around 120 motos for both Saturday and Sunday.  Arriving Friday, it was unthinkable that the track was going to be in good shape for Saturday, considering the massive amounts of rain the track had taken in the days leading up to the races.  But, the volunteers in Akron did a great job of getting the track dry, smooth and fast by Saturday morning.

Elite Open racing action heading down the first straight.  Here we have "The Mosquito" Jonathan Suarez sticking his nose out on the #10 for MCS Bicycles while side by side with #81 of Hudson for Psychopath.

Here we have Suarez motoring out of the last turn on his way to a win, while Kovachi Wheels' Matt Beatty takes advantage of Hudson sampling some of Akron's last straight blacktop.

One Bicycles ride of Rachel "Thunder" Smith on the #5 leading the way through the rhythm section in the Elite Women's class.

Here we have a pair from the Empire State leading the way.  Out in front it is OFR's Jessica Egdorf on the #8 followed by Jamie Gage.

169-29 Open Class making their way out of turn one and down Akron's second straight with Redline's Jeffrey Upshaw leading the way.  Check out some of the carnage going down in the background.
