2006 U.S. Open and Thanksgiving National The U.S. Open and Thanksgiving National are two favorite races for riders from across the eastern part of the country, This years track was great in Morristown, Tennessee. Riders even got the chance after Saturday's races to go outside and try the super downhill outdoor Morristown facility. The indoor track was flat down the first straight with plenty of room to crank. The second straight got a little more technical with a step up followed by a camel back setup and then a roller. The third straight was a table to a double to a step up. The final straight featured a pile of super deep rollers. |

In Pro Open it was the Harley Kelley and Lance McGuire show. Here they are hopping the roller going into the first turn during Sunday's main event.
Rachel Smith made good on her trip to Morristown. Here she is leading the Women's Elite class into the first turn with Bizzarro's Kayla Gaddis chasing.
17-24x was a crazy class this weekend, as can be expected for the rest of the year. Here we have the Felt ride of Matt Kelty on the #9, the W6 of Chris Bull and the 588 ride of Weston Pope. Look for these three to be battling it out in Louisville next September. This Race Coverage is Brought to You By: |

Factory Welham was in the house
this weekend. Here we have Ely South working the main event in
15x. This kid is superfast and should skinny up that digit quite
easily this year.
Another Dan's rider on the
front side. This time it's Oquendo leading the way in 14x. |
